Global Collaboration on Traditional Medicine Integration Encouraged at the BRICS CCI Healthcare Summit 2025, Promoting a Unified Approach between Traditional and Modern Healthcare Systems

Prann Sharma, President of BRICS CCI Healthcare Vertical and Executive Director-Strategy, BRICS CCI, stated that there is a global shift towards natural, safe, and sustainable alternatives in healthcare. This sentiment was echoed by Anurag Sharma, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, who emphasised that traditional systems of medicine, such as Ayurveda, do not require new clinical trials as their long-term use and evidence-based outcomes already validate their efficacy.
The summit generated immense enthusiasm among AYUSH manufacturers and the traditional healthcare community across the BRICS+ nations. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, and Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of AYUSH and Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, were also present at the event.
Distinguished dignitaries attended the summit, including Ramdas Bandu Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, delivered an exclusive video address at the event.
